To the Helping Hand Veterans Fund organization of Lowell, Massachusetts, we would like to express our great appreciation and gratitude to each and every one of you, for the outstanding service you provide to our veterans. On behalf of the Sarno family, I wish to thank you for the respect that you showed our family and the honor you gave to our Brother Mark J. Sarno in his time of need. Your heartfelt condolences and words of encouragement made a great difference to our family, as we bid farewell to our brother. Mark came from a family of military men - Our father (Joe) Served in the U.S. Navy, and aboard the USS Hornet, CV-12 - WWII; Our Uncle (Frank) in the U.S. Marines Corps during the Korean War; Our brother (Mark) in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War; Myself, I recently retired from the U.S. Air Force and served during Operation Enduring Freedom; and last but certainly not least our son (Joe) Private First Class, Presently with the 16th MP Brigade (Airborne) Fort Bragg, NC.
"One Aim, One Mission, Serving Our Veterans" is your mission statement. Our family has witnessed your service to our Veterans and this is a true embodiment of America's spirit of service to a cause greater than oneself. To Director Roland Cartier and all the troops of the Helping Hand Veterans Fund organization, Thank you!

Members in need of transportation to meetings and/or HHVF events can call our Transportation Hotline at least a day in advance so we can coordinate assistance with members willing to help with rides.
Helpful Hand Bag Project Activities
Dates and times of nursing home visits to deliver Helpful Hand Bags to veteran residents will be announced as soon as they are confirmed. Members interested in taking part should reply as soon as possible to any emails sent out announcing any upcoming delivery dates. These events are a great experience for the member as well as the receiving veteran.
